 In August of 1974, F. D. Jaffe & Co. was founded by David Jaffe, graduate of Queens University, Bachelor of Arts. He started out with a wallet of 8 diamonds, lots of courage and one other commodity - dedication. Recognition of David's perseverance and goodwill, was not long in coming. Over the years Jaffe's has established a diverse and loyal clientele as well as a reputation for honesty and dependability in the diamond world. Today, Jaffe's standing as a pillar of the New York Diamond Dealers Club is your most reliable assurance of excellence and impeccable honesty of our business practices. To date the Jaffe firm has grown into a full service diamond company still residing in the building of its original address, at 15 West 47th Street, in the heart of New York's Diamond District.
 In 1990, David Jaffe, company founder, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Diamond Trade Association of America.
